BIOGRAPHY
I say I’m from Boston, but I really don’t know much about Boston. I’m from the suburbs, so I have no street cred. But I did have a ten-speed and a paper route. Norwell, Massachusetts, is a beautiful little town on the South Shore. It’s home of the Zildjian cymbal company, and for a while, Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. So began my complete devotion towards both Zildjian cymbals and Aerosmith. I started playing drums as a high school freshman, teaching myself to play the great hard rock of the day. My passion for rock music developed over the next few years and throughout my time at the University of Richmond, where - for a short while - I took drum lessons and stumbled my way through the jazz band.
Since the summer of 2000 I’ve been fortunate enough to grow and explore musically with the Rachel Leyco Band. Better gear and great songs bring me to where I am today, seated behind a sweet drum kit, powering a rock trio bound for world domination.
I'm actively involved in trying to bring smoke free air legislation to Virginia by banning smoking in public places. Even we musicians deserve to breathe clean air. Visit Smoke Free Virginia Now.
I’m an avid rock climber and motorcycle rider. I love the recording studio. It’s the most exciting and inspiring creative outlet I have yet to discover. I’ve co-produced and mixed all of RLB's projects to date.
