Let's read the bio!

The Rachel Leyco Band hit the Richmond scene in the summer of 2000. Their high quality performances immediately gained them a reputation of respect in Richmond and beyond, among musicians, venue owners and staff, and audiences of all ages. Rachel was only 18 years old when her band was named one of Richmond's five top musical acts by the Richmond Times Dispatch. No small honor.

The trio has been anchored from day one by Rachel Leyco [say LAKE-oh] on guitar and vocals, and John O?Donnell on drums. Bass player duties traded hands a couple times in early years until landing in the solid grasp of Scott Harris in 2004.

The sound is so big, you'll swear there are additional musicians hidden off stage. Three-part harmonies and meticulous arrangements help to create a sonic experience greater than the sum of its parts. But a live performance is more than just about songs and sounds.

Perhaps it is the contrast between Scott's outlandish ingenuity, Rachel's humble temperance, and John's raucous spontaneity that allows this band to present such musical depth and to entertain on so many levels. The original music ranges from fast and catchy to dynamic and emotional. The common theme (indeed the secret ingredient) being Rachel's smooth, rich vocals and crafty guitar playing. You?ll find the witty stage show a worthy match for the music.

During the summer of 2004, RLB began touring to support their first full length CD, Something Human, playing shows in Boston, Nashville, Atlanta, and southern California. The band's third studio project, Something Human picked up right from where 2002's Walk Away and Page 102 single left off. June, 2009, saw the long awaited release of the self-titled Rachel Leyco Band CD, a project three years in the making.
